In those early months I took the opportunity to visit our headquarters in Antwerp where I met our Belgium colleagues. Here I forged relationships which still last till this day. The technical and commercial support we receive from our global HQ in Europe is one of our competitive advantages. "Born in South Africa and raised in Lesotho, I had worked for two different competitors. I always imagined joining the company that was always on top of their game. Handling thousands of tonnages that I dreamed to handle one day. In January 2019 that dream finally became real as I joined Manuchar South Africa. I started at Manuchar’s Wisely Warehouse as a Shift Manager. It was one of the most challenging moments of my life as I had to leave my family behind in Johannesburg, but after 11 months I moved back to Johannesburg and reunited with my family. I came back with experience I had gained over the few months, handling vessels week in week out, rubbing shoulders with Managers and Seniors within the structure of Manuchar in Durban. On my return from Durban, I was then second in charge to Anderbolt’s Warehouse Manager still performing duties as Shift Manager. Six months down the line I was given an opportunity to oversee the warehouse operation as a Team Leader. Still performing duties of second in charge, I am now an interim Warehouse Manager in Boksburg. Boksburg Warehouse is labelled as an engine of Manuchar South Africa. My role is to make sure that we serve our clients with 110% service. I’m accountable for all operations that takes place. Housekeeping is non-negotiable. I treat all equipment as if it is my own. Manuchar’s stock is our asset, it is very important to check stock on hand versus the stock on the system on a daily basis. Communication is key in this position, and I have an open-door policy with my team."

"Growing up within an agricultural landscape, my passion for agriculture started early on. In delivering the best quality product at the best price on time to clients is one of the values I pride myself on, and I can say that I found this in Manuchar. I joined Manuchar South Africa in 2021 as a Sales Executive, where I am responsible for growing and maintaining our Fertilizer and Feed industries. I really enjoy travelling throughout South Africa meeting new and existing customers, sharing experiences, new ideas as well as growing the Manuchar brand. "As an avid sports participant with a passion for community development, in particular youth improvement. Similarly, it was Manuchar’s Values and employee development that resonated with me and drew me to the organisation. I started my career in Logistics as a Messenger/Registration Clerk. I learnt quickly and soon realised I have a passion for Logistics.  I decided to study to gain the technical knowledge required within the industry. I am now qualified through the University of South Africa in International Freight, Management and Administration for Imports and Exports, Skills Development Specialists in Customs Clearing Part 11 and Customs Compliance at School of Shipping. My journey with Manuchar South Africa started in 2014 as a Senior Import Controller and gained a wealth of experience in the systems used, as well as practical insight into managing operations and expediting processes to optimally move cargo for various clients. I was promoted to Clearing and Forwarding Supervisor in 2018. I now lead the C & F team to deliver high quality results and ensure that clients are continuously updated, and expectations exceeded. I develop Customer and Supplier relationships so that Clients can achieve their own business objectives. Ensure the team is compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements for import and exports as set by SARS Customs and other relevant bodies. Manuchar South Africa has provided the platform for professional growth, personal mentorship and enhanced my passion. This journey has motivated me to continue to give back to the community both through the “We Care” programme and within an individual capacity through personal initiatives."

Reshmee MoonsamySHEQ Manager

"I joined Manuchar SA in January 2022 as the SHEQ Manager responsible for the company’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality agenda across our national warehouse facilities. Having spent my working career in the Quality and SHE environment within manufacturing environments, stepping into the chemical distribution, logistics and warehousing arena posed an exciting opportunity to grow in this avenue of my field. On joining Manuchar South Africa, I encountered very warm, welcoming, and helpful people on all levels of the business, which made my transition into the various operations of the business a smooth one. The business processes and ways of working are well entrenched with one of the focus areas being on sustaining a culture of safety and quality in everything we do. Aligned to this, we will be embarking on exciting projects to align to international and globally recognised quality management systems which further supports service delivery and excellence and standardised processes. I enjoy the ability my role affords me in being able to work with all areas of the business and in doing so I have a varied exposure and understanding.
